Dear Dean, We returned from the Herriot Way last week, and I still have the wonderful scenery in my mind. It really was a beautiful walk - a mixture of wild heather-clad moors and green pastures criss-crossed with stone walls. My French companions were astounded by the beauty of the countryside. It's a great starter walk in Yorkshire - just long enough to get the feeling of the Dales. Even driving rain all the way up and down Shunner Fell didn't mar the walk - there was the lovely tea room in Thwaite to warm up in. The organisation was very good. Everything went smoothly - thank you very much. I thought I'd just give you some feedback as I know it is helpful.
