Dear Dean and Corinna, now that I'm back down to earth and up to date with the washing I wanted to write to thank you for all of the work that you did to organise my brilliant C2C holiday. Your meticulous planning meant that everything was perfect, including the accommodation, baggage transfers, transport and of course the walk itself. Then of course Dave made the walk itself such a pleasure. I have done many guided walking holidays but Dave is one of the best leaders I have encountered. He knew the route perfectly and he is so organised! He sorted out everything for us, making meal bookings, pre-ordering dinners, pointing us to places to get lunches and even directing us to the loos! His leadership helped us to achieve together what we could not have done by ourselves. I shall remember this experience for many years to come with very many happy memories. Thank you again for all that you did to make this possible.

Good afternoon, my trek across England on the C2C was wonderful. Thoroughly enjoyed it. All my accommodations were perfect. Always clean and the huge breakfasts filled me up for a full day of hiking. Morning Dean, we just wanted to send you a message today that we successfully completed the Coast to Coast, and to thank you for organising such a successful trek. All of the resources you sent were extremely helpful - the Trail Blazer guide book in particular was invaluable. Each of the accommodation stop overs were special in their own right and the variety over our 17 days added to the whole experience. We met some lovely people along the way. We would certainly use Northwestwalks again and will be recommending you to friends and family. Many thanks again. The holiday surpassed all of our expectations. The organisation that you were provided was absolutely faultless, thank you. The holiday itself felt like a real privilege; the places we stayed, the people we met, our fellow ‘Coasters’ and of course the walks, the wildlife, the weather, the scenery….. oh and the weather from Ennerdale to Rosthwaite was a total shocker. Even by Lake’s standards!

Dear Corina and Dean,

We really want to thank you for the organisation of our Coast to Coast walk. You chose very good Bed & Breakfasts with more than just friendly hosts, organized everything, booked a table at the pub in Bampton, told us where to go and when to phone for booking, found a very nice cottage for us in Orton, and most important, organized with Packhorse as to have our luggage well delivered every day. Also, when one of us had a knee injury and couldn’t walk for two days, the minibus drivers were very friendly and flexible. On top of it, you sent us this very good Coast to Coast guide with very detailed explanations. We lost our way a couple of times, but without the book it would have been much more difficult. The landscape was impressive and the weather much better than we had expected. Although the latter are not your responsibility, it made our holiday even better, of course. We will certainly make publicity for NWW and might contact you in the future for the same or other walks.

I finished the coast-to-coast walk on Friday and wanted to drop you a quick note to thank you for organising everything so comprehensively. All the hotels and B&B accommodation were sensibly spaced, walking-distance wise, my luggage was always there before me and the hosts were unfailingly helpful and welcoming. I have recommended your services to many of those I met along the way who were either struggling with organising stuff themselves or thinking about doing the walk in future. Tess and I have arrived home today after the best two weeks walking we have had to date! The Coast to Coast walk has totally bewitched us in so many ways. We met the most lovely people locals and walkers, walked through the most varied amazing landscapes and have stayed in quaint, quirky and all enjoyable B&B’s. We wanted to say a big thank you for organising such a great itinerary it would not have been half as enjoyable if we had tried to do it ourselves… we were planning our next walk and Tess’s sisters want their turn too so I am sure I will be in touch again in due course.

Hi Dean & Corinna,

Just wanted to let you know we completed our C2C on schedule and intact!!!!!!Brilliant and challenging adventure that we really enjoyed. The weather helped a lot with only one day of rain, and dare we say some days were too hot! The accommodations were all unique and of an of an excellent standard with yummy breakfasts. .. Your travel documents were excellent, the A to Z map with the Coast to Coast Path book were our “go to” reference points that kept us on the routes and along with a small garmin gps tracker that we had downloaded the way point ref numbers on to we stayed on tract and never needed to refer to our OS maps and compass (but good to have them to hand)! We met lots of fellow travellers along the way with whom we shared our days trials and tribulations with. We were, as Brits, always in the minority with Aussies, Kiwis and a smattering of Americans in the mix!!! But we held our corner well and celebrated with them all in Wainwright’s Bar in Robin Hoods Bay (no beers behind the bar these days)!!Many thanks, we will check out other walks you offer in the future and certainly recommend you to others planning similar walks.

Hi Dean and Corina,

Now I have had a chance to catch up with all the stuff that happened while I was away on the Coast to Coast, I can take a moment to thank you for a really well organised programme. Everything worked exactly as planned, and the choice of stages was well thought out and, while some days were tough, it was all perfectly doable, even for a couple of old geezers of 78 and 80 years. Luggage transfer went without a hitch, and choice of B&B’s was excellent… David and I thoroughly enjoyed our adventure, and although we might have preferred a bit more sunshine and a bit less rain, we walked every inch of the way, did not get seriously lost, and met some lovely people on the trail.

Dear Dean and Corinna,

We returned from our C2C walk on Monday 20 May and would like to give you some feedback on our holiday. We thought the overall organisation of the holiday was excellent, both in terms of the service provided by Northwestwalks, the transfers between Kirkby Stephen and St Bees and Robin Hoods Bay, and the transfer of our baggage between accommodations. The guide book that you provided was very good. It provided us with useful information about the route, places we were passing through, the accommodation where we were staying, and places to eat. The AZ book of 1:25 000 scale OS maps was much easier to use than a lot of individual maps. The book is a useful size and easily fits into a map case, enabling two pages to be read at once...The accommodation we stayed in was generally excellent... All in all it was a fantastic holiday in some of the most beautiful countryside in the country. We had every type of weather, including a snowstorm as we approached the summit of Kidsty Pike in the Lake District. I think we all felt sad when the walk came to an end, but it has inspired us to do more long distance walks. We would certainly use Northwestwalks again, and have no hesitation in recommending you to our friends.
